It’s anchors away on the Flora Sewalong and as always we are all bracing ourselves for the over-excitement of seeing our latest lady roaming in the wild. However, at By Hand London we like to keep things interesting, so we’ve come up with a plan to put a little spice into our *ahem* relationship.
For this sewalong we’re running a competition to find your favourite Flora dress and (even better) we’ve teamed up with our lovely friends at Janome to offer a delicious prize to the winner. The champion Flora will not only receive 3 glorious metres of Eloise, but will be the lucky owner of a brand new Janome 8002DX, that's right friends, an OVERLOCKER - you’ll never have fraying seams again!!
So, by the end of the sewalong we want you guys to send in your Flora snaps to help@byhandlondon.com or send us the link to your blog/flickr/pinterest/chosen media outlet, then we’ll put them on the old Facebook page and give you a week to pick your favourite. The winner will be whoever’s photo has the most “likes” by the end of that week.
We’ll announce the official submission dates in the not too distant future (classic) so make sure to keep an eye on the blog. Happy Sewing!!

Amy, yes just get the pattern and your fabric and join in! At the end of the sewalong simply shout at us via email / any social media portal with links to your creation on a blog / pinterest or anything like that.
Katie, Hells yes! Everybody is very welcome, the more international we can get it the better.
Jennifer, post can take between 5-7 working days.

How long does it generally take to receive the pattern in the mail? I’m in the states and I just want to make sure I will have enough time from now to obtain and sew up the pattern for the competition.

i can’t breathe over here. my overlocker is currently hell bent on killing me ( sounds like a full speed ahead freight train ON CRACK).
if we choose to sewalong the flora playsuit, does that count??
