What's it all about?
Masterminded by Alex Bartholomew of Bluebird Fabrics, Project #SewMyStyle is all about raising awareness about the slow fashion movement and about encouraging young women to take up sewing. We want to show you that sewing your own wardrobe isn't an unachievable dream.
How does it work?
Participants will be sewing 12 garments in 12 months. We'll post photos of our makes on Instagram on the last Sunday of every month. In the end, you'll have a nice little capsule wardrobe of handmade clothes.
As well as ourselves, Alex has teamed up with Megan Nielsen Patterns, Named Clothing and Sew House 7 and we'll all be offering at least 20% discount on all of the patterns on the sewing schedule. You'll receive your discount code once you've signed up here.
To make the project achievable, the patterns chosen are relaxed in fit and most are accompanied by instructions.
Today is the last day to sign up folks! Click here to make sure you don't miss out!
