You don't need us to remind you what a year it's been, and I think the whole of Planet Earth is unanimously looking forward to more hopeful year ahead. Like many folks, I find the grounding effects of journaling, short term goal setting, and gentle productivity tools to be enormously helpful not only in uncertain times like this, but in my day to day life - both personal and business - in general. I swear by my bullet journal (you can find out more about the #bujo method here), and I am always dreaming up new spreads, calendars and planners to better streamline my work-life balance - a MUST when you're a single parent/business owner like me.
Over time, I feel like I've nailed some productivity tools that really work for me, and I thought now would be the perfect time to share them with all of you! Please welcome our Productivity Companion 🤗 a totally FREE resource that you can download, share and print as often as you need. You'll find monthly and weekly spreads, quarterly goal setting, a period tracker (my favourite!), the only meal planner that works for me, plus lots of other really useful stuff. It has everything you need to set realistic goals, prioritise self care, grow your business and get organised and excited for the year ahead!
Your Productivity Companion includes:
Month to view desk calendar (dated 2021 + perennial)
Each month to view on one clear sheet of paper. Keep all your daily appointments and important dates in check, and stay on top of your goals with space for monthly focus points, to-do lists and notes. There's even a bonus undated desk calendar for after 2021, or if you prefer to fill in the dates yourself.
Week to view + habit tracker (perennial)
The definitive week-to-view spread! Days of the week divided by AM and PM on one side of the page, with space for notes and lists plus a bonus habit tracker on the other side. Ideal for cutting out and sticking in your bullet journal every week!
Weekly meal planner + shopping list (perennial)
Save precious time and money, and stay on top of your household's nutrition with our weekly meal planner.
Annual period tracker (dated 2021)
Keeping track of your menstrual cycle is essential for your reproductive health. Our period tracker helps you to monitor your cycle visually throughout the year and according to the phases of the moon, enabling you to gain a deeper understanding of your unique flow.
Wheel of life
A brilliantly simple tool to help you see which areas of your life are flourishing, and which areas could do with a little more attention. The wheel of life is a visual exercise that takes only minutes to complete, yet can shed a shrewd light on multiple aspects of your life and how they might relate to each other.
S.W.O.T. Analysis
An essential tool for any business owner, entrepreneur or project planner! Get to the root of your idea's strengths and weaknesses, and identify opportunities you could harness and threats that might put a spanner in the works so that you can plough ahead armed with increased awareness and maximum confidence!
Quarterly goal map (perennial)
Annual goal setting can be overwhelming and daunting, and often leads to unnecessary feelings of failure. We prefer the quarterly approach - three goals for three months - infinitely more digestible, faster results and permission to reassess your goals every three months, dropping those that have either been completed or become irrelevant, and creating space for new goals for the season ahead.
This Productivity Companion is a PDF file that you can download and print at home as many times as you like! It has been formatted to print on A4 paper, but you can easily tweak the settings in your print preview if you prefer to print on US letter, or smaller/larger to fit the pages of your journal.
I like to think of this collection of tools, spreads and planners as a holistic approach to productivity, and I really hope that it helps you stay grounded, focus and care for yourself as it continues to help me. And if you do find it useful, please share the love on Instagram with the hashtag #BHLproductivitycompanion so other people can find it too.
Here's to a more hopeful, healthful and loving year ahead! Sending all my love,
♥️

I’ve been so frustrated and all over the place lately because I’ve been spending so much time sewing and not focusing on my bujo, this is a life-saver! Thank you so much for sharing this!
