It’s been a whirlwind 2014 already for us over here at By Hand London HQ, but in the midst of our exciting new Kickstarter campaign, building up our own fabric designs and a soon to be released summer pattern (can you guess what it is yet?!) we have yet ANOTHER new adventure to share with you…
As y'all know, there’s only one thing we love more than getting our hands dirty with the sewing machine, its cats. Cats and lots of ‘em. We like cats even more than we like gin, so, naturally, we’ve decided to embrace our inner spinster and combine our two absolute favourite things - that’s right ladies - CAT PATTERNS!!
In the upcoming weeks we will be releasing our new line of multi-sized sewing patterns for cats, retailing at £5.00/$8.30/€6.00 and including our instruction booklet and sewing label.
Mittens is a friendly but feisty little lady with a passion for snuggling up on a cosy armchair. But don’t be fooled by the cat-napping - our girl knows how to have a good time, enjoying nothing more than climbing trees and chasing her pals around the garden before indulging in some delicious catnip.
For our very first feline design we’ve kept it simple, with just one variation of this fun, voluminous skirt, making it perfect for a beginner and suitable for any fabrics with a little bit of stiffness to hold the flirty shape.
