Measuring
Bust
Circumference around your ribcage at the fullest part of your bust. This is usually nipple height.
Waist
This can be a little confusing because a lot of people don’t actually know where their natural waist is. It is not always the smallest part of your torso if you don’t happen to have an hourglass shape. Your waist is located halfway between the end of your ribs and the top of your hip bones.
Hips
The hip measurement is not literally taken from around your hip bones, rather, the hip measurement indicates the fullest part around your bottom.

THE DRESS
An incredibly versatile party dress featuring a fitted sleeveless V-neck bodice with angled darts and armholes. Variation 1 transforms the somewhat edgy bodice into a vintage lover’s dream, boasting a wide sailor collar and full skirt with multiple panels and godets, while Variation 2 opts for a sleeker, more modern silhouette - angled darts mirror those on the bodice, and a sexy centre front split make this sheath dress anything but plain.

Most light-medium weight wovens will be suitable for Sophia. Cotton lawn, quilting cotton, poplin, Broderie Anglaise, batiste, silk habotai, silk crêpe, taffeta, silk satin, rayon, wool tweed, wool crêpe etc. Lightweight or drapey fabrics will benefit from a lightweight fusible interfacing at the collar of Variation 1. Opt for a breathable cotton lawn for the bodice lining.
