Anna Dress Sewalong - some of yours!

Wowee guys - these sewalongs just seem to get better and better! When we think back to our very first - the Charlotte Skirt Sewalong - and compare the response we had then, to the hours we've spent going through all of your Anna Dresses... Just goes to show how far things can come in a little under a year. Thank you all, so so very much!

The only sad thing about all the many hundreds of beautiful Anna Dresses out there, is that we can't feature them all. We have created a Pinterest board with all the Anna's we've spotted in the wild (not including those shared on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter though, as they are unpinnable unfortunately...) and you can check that out here. You can even request an invite to pin to our pattern boards by tweeting us with your Pinterest username, and we'll add you to our community of pinners.

So, without further ado, what follows is just a few of your Anna Dresses that have caught our eye in particular - but no favourites here, we love you all the same!

Victoria's pick:

Black silk? Check. Dangerously high split? Check. Gold shoes? Check check. Fiona's insanely glamourous Anna Dress has Victoria's name all over it. Add to that the fact that Fiona had been debating between black and emerald green silk crepe - the very same dilemma Victoria faced as we prepared for the sewalong, opting for emerald (but we think a black version will be coming in the not too distant future).

Elisalex's pick:

We have only one word for SallieOh's abstract floral silk Anna Dress (which she hand painted herself!) - spectacular. This dress is the definition of unique, and to think of the love and care and time that went into the making of this dress entirely from scratch, well, quite frankly, it makes our hearts swell.

Charlotte's pick:

What Charlotte found most impressive about this luscious silk printed dress by The Sew Convert, is how Adey has managed to pull of not one, but two super sexy thigh-high splits without losing not even a grain of elegance. In fact, this might be one of the most daring yet demure Anna's we've seen to date.

Outstanding achievement award:

roisin

Eight Anna Dresses?!! Roisin never fails to blow us away with each and every droolsome knockout of a dress she keeps churning out. She may have made even more By Hand London garments than us! Maybe... We might need to swing by Casa Clackett to have a proper snoop around her me-made wardrobe... For "research", obviously.

Runner up:

Hot on Roisin's heels is Texan based Mary of blog Idle Fancy. We've counted four Anna's so far, all of which we looove - especially her Halloweeny bat-print number and the gorgeous green polka dot beauty pictured above.

Cutest adaptation:

Now we've seen many an Anna hack combing the bodice with all sorts of amazing skirt variations, but Sophie-Lee's was the first we spotted with an added collar. Utterly adorable. We'll definitely be copying this for our next batch of wintry Anna's...

Dreamiest Anna Dress:

We're not sure if it's the fairy-tale Amy Butler voile, the fact that this dress was made to wear to a rustic tipi wedding, or the sugary sweet girl who made it, but we think this dress by Bobbin In is just soooo dreamy. Conjuring up images of woodland nymphs and scenes from A Mid Summer's Night Dream... Oh, Summer, where did you go?

Sexiest Anna Dress:

Heather-Lou's digital print maxi split Anna was one of the first ever made. We're loving the whole thing - the pixelated grayscale print, the chunky black heels, the vampy lips. In our eyes, this girl can do no wrong.

Guys, thank you all for doing our patterns such justice! We have been overwhelmed by the response to the Anna Dress and are just dying to spill the beans as to what's in store for the next few months... In the meantime, keep 'em coming!

Truly am excited to do a Sew along. Being mostly a visual learner, I will be purchasing only your patterns from now on.

Bless you for such a wonderful site.

My deepest sympathy for those lost in the horrific apartment fire. and prayers on their way to all involved. I see 200 firemen where there also. After seeing a picture of it in daylight, still smoldering, I was aghast. We had an apt. fire last year, April 6, and it was closed down and will reopen in Jul y.Had over a dozen huge fire trucks, also ambu;ances and police. wasn’t as bad as the above, however.I have apartment insurance, Many did not and were living all over the area in Denver, Colorado. Also sending prayers to those involved in bombing

Our complex in in the shape of a capital I. We are on one street and the middle part on another and top of I another address, but we are all connected.
    Sincerely
