THE DRESS

Jenna is a super elegant hip-skimming, leg-lengthening Empire line dress with a bias cut skirt. Featuring a darted bodice with two different neckline and sleeve options that are entirely interchangeable, you can choose from a low square neck with short sleeves and a pretty tie cuff, or a demure jewel neck and optional Peter-Pan collar with slim bracelet length cuffed sleeves, or any bodice-sleeve combination and skirt length you prefer.

Multi-sized sewing pattern from UK 6 / US 2 up to UK 24 / US 20

This pattern can be printed on 3x A0 copyshop files, or 15x A4 sheets (Variation 1 bodice) + 17x A4 sheets (Variation 2 bodice) + 31x A4 sheets (skirt).

The bias cut skirt will benefit from a light to medium weight woven fabric with a bit of body. Opt for crepe, floaty or drapey silks and rayons, silk noil, flannel and soft cottons or linen. However, we have also seen this dress beautifully made in more rigid fabrics such as silk organza and lace and she's just as pretty!

The bodice and sleeves can handle a wide variety of fabrics, including more stable wovens, so feel free to have fun experimenting with contrasting fabrics!
