Measuring
Bust
Circumference around your ribcage at the fullest part of your bust. This is usually nipple height.
Waist
This can be a little confusing because a lot of people don’t actually know where their natural waist is. It is not always the smallest part of your torso if you don’t happen to have an hourglass shape. Your waist is located halfway between the end of your ribs and the top of your hip bones.
Hips
The hip measurement is not literally taken from around your hip bones, rather, the hip measurement indicates the fullest part around your bottom.

THE DRESS
An effortless transseasonal dress featuring double pleats on the bodice, grown-on sleeves and a panelled A-line skirt. Variations include both bateau and V-neck options that are super quick and simple to make.

Lightweight woven fabrics with a bit of body are ideal, such as viscose rayon, floaty silks and wool crepe. However, stable fabrics will work beautifully too such as quilting cotton, lawn, batiste, shirting, voile, linen and broderie Anglaise.
For our samples, we used a floral stretch cotton from Selvedge & Bolts and a cobalt blue tencel from Fabric Godmother. Huge thanks goes to our fabric sponsors for helping us create such beautiful samples!
