Free pattern alert! BHL x WATG: Introducing the Lex Crop Top

**Click here and enter your email address to get the Lex Crop Top crochet pattern totally for freeeeeee!**

I think it's safe to say, when you're the kind of person who loves to make stuff, you probably love to make all the stuff, right? Well, that's certainly the case for us. Sewing maybe our "day job", and Number One favourite thing to do, but we also really dig other making outlets too - knitting, crochet, quilting, cooking, DIYing - if it starts with nothing much and ends in something cool, we'll get stuck right in.

So, over the last couple of weeks we've been having some fun with a little extra-curricular project - we designed a crochet pattern and kit for our pals over at Wool and the Gang - may we present the Lex Crop Top!

The Lex Crop Top is the perfect quick fix crochet pattern - in an evening or two you'll have yourself a super-hot Summer-sexy halter ready for whatever festival / beach / picnic you've got planned over the next month or two, made up in WATG's very own Shiny Happy Cotton. If a ready-made kit isn't for you, or you've got some yarn to burn, you can have this pattern absolutely FREE OF CHARGE when you click here and sign up for Wool and the Gang's and our newsletter (none of us will spam you, we promise, you'll just receive sewing and knitting related goodness and you can always opt out if you change your mind).

Made up in half double crochet (or half treble for UK terminologists) with a pretty picot lace border, this top offers modest coverage at the bust - flattering for both smaller and fuller figures alike, but keeps things sexy with her open back, exposed shoulders and the perfect hint of collarbone.

If the designing and making of this top was fun, then shooting it at WATG HQ was a blast! We even made a fun little "meet the maker" type video clip, and those of you who follow us, or WATG on Instagram may have seen an even sillier slo-mo head banging outtake...!

    Hey! Love this crop top!
I’m starting to learn crochet and my teacher asked me if you have a diagram of the pattern by any chance?
    Thank you very much :)

Does anyone know what weight yarn to use? I tried making the small pattern, but it turned out huge on me. I think I may be using the wrong weight? Or is this just a large pattern? I’m a very small person.
