A delicate and surreal reworking of the ever-popular floral motif. At first glance they appear to be kimono art inspired flowers, on second glance, beautiful little monsters!
The super duper talented Eloise Jephson completed her Print for Fashion BA at Central St Martins, interning at Henrik Vibskov and Versace before she graduated. Things that inspire her she describes as 'boring but true' - the V&A museum, pottering around London and more than anything going back to the countryside (because it lets her imagination run riot). Having just left her job as a print designer for a big luxury fashion brand, she's striking out on her own to create beautiful silk scarves covered in her magical, fantastical brood of flower monsters and mythical creatures. Just in the process of creating her website, keep up with her here for now.
This fabric was digitally printed with eco and skin friendly pigment inks. A post treatment was then applied to make sure that this fabric can handle the washing machine! However, in order to maintain vibrancy of colours in general, it is always best to wash on as low a heat as possible. Because the post treatment does add a little bit of extra stiffness to the fabric, we recommend that you add in some fabric softener when you wash this fabric.
