Very sorry

Ladies,

We are absolutely devastated and mortified to have to tell you that we have noticed our tissue patterns are not quite up to scratch. It seems that transferring them between different software messed with the measurements a bit and unfortunately we no longer feel comfortable selling them as they are. We are reworking them at the moment, taking every extra precaution and getting them reprinted asap. We will be sending out new copies to all of our stockists and customers and putting them back up on our site within about four weeks. Needless to say, we will be postponing the Charlotte Skirt sewalong.

To all of you who have bought from us or been vocal in your support (or both!), we thank you so much and are indescribably sad to have let you down like this. We're not gonna let this knock us back, we've learned our lesson the hard way and are putting it down to teething problems. Please don't give up on us just yet!

With love,

Charlotte, Elisalex and Victoria.

could it be that my Elisalex pattern printed in 2012 is a wrong one?

    Hi Daphne,

It shouldn’t be! As soon as we realised our mistake we sent a message to all stockists and customers who had bought through the website. Once we’d reprinted we sent out the new tissue paper patterns to everyone. There is an easy way to find out though! If your ELisalex pattern has square notches then it was the correct, reprinted version, if it has triangular notches then it is the first, incorrect version. If you think you have the incorrect version give me a shout at charlotte@byhandlondon.com

Oh my god amazing. And bizarre. Could this be the man who inspired an entire generation of slow jam groups with that voice synth tube thing?? And I want a backdrop like that in my house.

I was just about to order the Elisalex dress! No worries, when all the gremlins are removed I’ll get one. Good luck!

Hi Anne, this post is actually out of date now. We should probably have put a link at the bottom explaining all is well now – our bad! Gremlins have been removed.

Don’t be hard on yourselves ladies…these things happen! But you’re taking steps to correct it and it will be all worth it in the end! If anything, you’re building our anticipation, which is no bad thing ;o)

Oh no! We’re so sorry… But yes, we’d MUCH rather put the sales on hold rather than sell anything less than perfect. Please watch this space and/or follow us on Facebook/Twitter for up to the minute updates as to when the patterns will be back in stock!
